Synopsis: A freshening-up of the 1989 cult basic starring Patrick Swayze, the 2024 model of “Highway Home” has acclaimed motion director Doug Liman on the helm with Oscar nominee Jake Gyllenhaal as former UFC fighter Elwood Dalton, who begins bouncing at a bar within the Florida Keys. Naturally, he’s operating from his troubled previous – he killed an opponent within the cage in a title combat. Now he has to take care of felony cops and locals who need the Highway Home gone so an enormous resort will be constructed – and he has to take care of gang enforcer McGregor, too. It shouldn’t go with out saying Lima, whose directorial work consists of “Mr. & Mrs. Smith” and a number of other “Bourne” motion pictures, mentioned it was the perfect factor he’s accomplished – and boycotted its premiere as a result of it was going straight to Prime for streaming and not using a full theatrical run.
